Tammy   So, tell me a little bit about this date of yours.
Lea       He is a very good friend of mine, andI’ve had a crush on him for quite sometime.
            He’s such a gentleman, and I’m sure I’ll have a great time with him.
Tammy   Why do you think he’s a gentleman?
Lea       Well, he always pays for me wherever we go and he is also very courteous;
             he opens the door for me and he holds my hand.
Tammy   These days it’s hard to find a man like that!
Lea        I agree, but it has more to do with the way society has changed than with how
             men have changed.
Tammy    What do you mean?
Lea        Early in history women rarely worked and so when a man took a woman out
             he was expected to pay. Now that both men and women are in the workforce
             it is morecustomary for them to split the bill.
Tammy    I see what you’re saying, but it is still nice to be treated to dinner.
Lea        I agree. My date told me that he rented a limousine and even bought me a
             surprise  gift.
Tammy   How nice of him! I hope my date is a generous as yours!

Tammy   그럼 너의 데이트에 대해 조금 얘기해줘.
Lea       아주 좋은 친구야 그리고 난 그를 꽤 오랫동안 짝사랑해왔어. 아주 신사야 그리고 그

Tammy   왜 그가 신사라고 생각해?
Lea       우리가 어딜 가든 그가 항상 돈을 내고 매우 예의가 발라; 날 위해 문을 열어주고 손
            을    잡아줘.
Tammy   요즘은 그런 남자를 찾기가 힘들어!
Lea       나도 동의해, 하지만 이것은 남자들이 변한 것보다 사회가 변한 게 더 커.
Tammy   무슨 말이야?
Lea       옛날에는 여자들은 거의 일을 하지 않았기 때문에 남자가 여자를 데리고 나갔을 때 그
            가  돈을내는 것이 기대되었어. 이제 남녀모두 일을 하기 때문에 계산을 나누는 것이  
            관습이야.
Tammy   무슨 말인지 알겠어, 그래도 누가 저녁을 사주는 것은 좋아.
Lea       동의해. 내 데이트가 그가 리무진을 대여하고 나에게 깜짝 선물도 샀대.
Tammy   엄청 좋다! 내 데이트 상대도 너의 데이트 상대처럼 후했으면 좋겠어.
